Infant Baptism is for children from birth up until 7 years of age.
All children age 7 and older who have not been baptized will receive their
sacraments through the Rite of Christian Initiation, adapted for children.
Classes are required for the parents of children to be baptized. (We ask that
children not be brought to the classes.) These classes prepare parents and
godparents for the baptism of their children. Parents are formed in the
theology and significance of the baptismal liturgy. The role of parents, godparents
and family in the formation of these children is of utmost importance
to the Church, requiring formation of the parents.

The baptism class includes preparation for the actual ceremony and a review of
what will be required of parents and godparents. Different parenting styles are also discussed, introducing the idea that parenthood is a ministry to which we bring our
own special gifts.

After the Baptismal preparation, parents must meet with Father, so please call to
make an appointment. The Sacrament of Baptism is set by Father Santy and the parents during the appointment date.

Baptism classes are held on the third Saturday of alternating months from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. Call the church office at 281-240-6721 to register for the class. Please register in advance. Both parents and Godparents must attend.
