Spiritual Direction
What is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual direction is a sacred and confidential space to reflect with a trained companion on your relationship with God. The focus is not on giving advice, but on listening—together—for how God is present and at work in your life. It centers on your lived experience of faith as it unfolds through prayer, relationships, work, struggles, joys, and seasons of change.
Spiritual direction can be especially helpful during times of transition, uncertainty, or when God feels distant. A spiritual director helps you notice where God may be inviting you, gently assisting in discernment and in understanding God’s desire for your life. At its heart, spiritual direction is about coming home to your deepest self and learning to recognize God’s presence in the ordinary moments of daily living.
During each session, you bring what is most present on your heart—your prayer, questions, images of God, relationships, hopes, fears, joys, and sorrows. The content of each meeting unfolds naturally, trusting that the Holy Spirit is the true guide and director of the conversation.
Spiritual direction at our parish is offered by trained spiritual directors who have received formation in this ministry and generously offer their time to accompany others in their spiritual journey.
